The Rajasthan Expedition

Rajasthan, with its inexhaustible historical wealth and brilliant architecture is an
unparalleled destination on the tourist map of India. It showcases the spectacular
fortes city of Jodhpur at the edge of the Thar Desert, golden city Jaisalmer with
enchanting sand dunes and Bikaner, the royal walled city encompassing a medieval aura.

DAY ONE: Delhi – Mandawa

You will be driven from Delhi to Mandawa, a remote feudal principality in the center of the Shekhawati region.

DAY TWO: Mandawa – Bikaner

After breakfast, you will be driven to Bikaner to enjoy a sightseeing tour of The Junagarh Fort. Built in 1588, this was one of the few major forts of Rajasthan built on the desert plains, making it unique.

DAY THREE: Bikaner – Khimsar

You will be driven to Khimsar, in the heart of the seven dunes of ‘Akla,’ a water body in the center making it a peaceful 60-acre oasis.

DAY FOUR: Khimsar

Explore the magnificent Khimsar Fort and enjoy a camel ride in the evening on the sand dunes and witness the beautiful desert sunset.

DAY FIVE: Khimsar – Jaisalmer

You will be driven to Jaisalmer, the golden beauty etched in yellow sandstone, standing tall against miles of gleaming sand.

DAY SIX: Jaisalmer

Enjoy a city tour of Jaisalmer. About a quarter of the old city’s population resides within the fort’s walls.

DAY SEVEN: Jaisalmer – Jodhpur

After breakfast, you will be driven to Jodhpur to visit the museums and Jaswant Thada, a pillared marble memorial of Jaswant Singh.

DAY EIGHT: Jodhpur – Deogarh

You will be driven to Deogarh, once a royal retreat of the Deogarh nobility. The site was built almost 200 years ago and nestles among one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world – The Aravallis.

DAY NINE: Deogarh – Udaipur

Enjoy an exceptionally beautiful excursion through the rugged hills of Ranakpur along the way.

DAY TEN: Udaipur

Tour of Udaipur City visiting the City Palace, Suraj Gokhada, and Jagdish Temple. Drive past Fateh Sagar Lake and visit the Sahelion-ki-Bari (Garden of the Maids of Honor).

DAY ELEVEN: Udaipur – Pushkar

You will be driven to Pushkar, on the edge of the desert, with one of India’s most sacred lakes at its heart. In the afternoon, visit the Pushkar Lake and the famous Brahma Temple.

DAY TWELVE: Pushkar – Jaipur

After a leisurely breakfast, you will be driven to Jaipur, the Pink City of Rajasthan.

DAY THIRTEEN: Jaipur

You will be driven to the ancient capital of Amber, where an elephant will carry you up to Amber Fort. Here you can stroll through the sprawling complex of courtyards and halls. You can stop to see the Palace of Winds, otherwise known as Hawa Mahal.

DAY FOURTEEN: Jaipur – Agra

After breakfast, you will be driven to Agra, visiting the deserted red sandstone city of Fatehpur Sikri.

DAY FIFTEEN: Agra – Delhi

Visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise. Following breakfast, you will visit the Agra Fort, and then be driven to Delhi where you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
